Kafein

Esok,  atau chronologically speaking - hari ini, 1 Muharrram 1434H. Aku day-off, sebab hujung minggu ini aku on-call.

Aku rasa nak turun Clayton awal pagi, breakfast atau brunch dengan beberapa teman yang masih lagi tak balik Malaysia. Petang ada usrah. Barangkali usrah terakhir dengan beberapa teman yang akan back-for-good. Malam balik semula ke Lembah Goulburn (Goulburn Valley). Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad kerja round the clock.

Menyesal pula minum kopi tadi, tak boleh tidur, hence the random scribbling.

I started to like, or enjoy, my work. I must say, it came sooner than I expected. Frankly, I didn't expect it to come at all. Ever.

I ask myself, then, what makes me feel so? I don't know, but I can tell you that I'm looking forward to go to work every morning, I like being in the hospital, I like attending to cases, I'm intrigued by every medical conundrums, and I actually listen to the case conferences. 

I hope that this is not some sort of escapism; you know, stuff like things you do or place you go when you have problems. That's so sissy. I don't want to find myself doing exactly that; not unconsciously and certainly not consciously. 

Well, taking the spirit of a new year, I wish to make myself a new year resolution. 

Here goes: my goal is to make sure that I have a goal; at least a goal per day. 

Seems legit.



Somehow, it reminds me of the first Hadith in the Hadith Arba'in by Imam Nawawi. I  beg you to re-read it, discover and experience whatever there is to read, discover and experience.
